- Actually he is correct....57,600 or 115,200 baud is the proper setting for
- 28.8kbps modems. This is how fast your computer talks to the modem while
- the modem will then negotiate the speed between it and the modem on the
- other end.

- If I am not mistaken (can't locate my USR Sportster manual), MNP is error
- correction, whil LAPM is data compression. You would want BOTH MNP and
- LAPM on.
